Read in Gita Reader

Krishna reveals the "Royal Secret": he pervades all creation yet remains transcendent. He is the ritual and the offering, the father and the mother, the goal and the witness. Even those who worship other gods unknowingly worship him. A leaf, a flower, a fruit, or water offered with devotion — he accepts.

Why This Matters

Krishna claims every role in creation — father, mother, sustainer, sacred syllable, the three Vedas — unifying all worship in one divine person.
