Read in Gita Reader

Entering the Jnana path, Krishna distinguishes the "field" (body/matter) from the "knower of the field" (soul/consciousness). He describes the qualities of true knowledge: humility, non-violence, patience, purity. The supreme Brahman, seated in every heart, is the light of all lights, beyond darkness, the goal of knowledge.

Why This Matters

A luminous description of Brahman that echoes across traditions — the light beyond all darkness, the goal of all knowing.
