Knowledge of the Absolute — Paramahamsa Vijnana Yoga
Chapter 7 of Bhagavad Gita by Vyasa
Krishna. Hear now, dear Prince! how, gathering heart and mind To Me — making Me thy refuge — thou shalt find Full knowledge; yea, the whole of what there is to know. I will declare to thee that utmost lore, Joined with experience, hearing which, no more Is left to learn in all this world below.
Of many thousands mortals, one, perchance, Strives for perfection; and of those who strive — Nay, and rise high — one only, here and there, Knoweth Me, as I am, the Very Truth.
Earth, water, flame, air, ether, life, and mind, And individuality — those eight Make up the showing of My lower nature. Learn My higher nature also, by which This Universe is sustained — the life of lives — The ever-living Seed of beings. Know, I am the birth of everything that stirs, And I the end of all; on Me all things Are strung, as rows of pearls upon a thread.
